Change is the external event or situation that happens. Transition is the inner mental and physical process each of us goes through when we encounter a change whether the change is intended or a surprise. We all may have the same change happening to us right now with COVID-19, but the timeline for transition is different for different people.
For people who have had many unexpected changes done to them (changes they did not choose) and who have been systematically excluded from the mainstream, transitions can take much longer. Join Newell Eaton for a talk on how to resource yourself through transitions, by taking care of yourself, taking care of your family, and prioritizing your next steps in the coming weeks and months. A note from Gwendolyn: Why this talk now? Navigating change in human and organizational development work is a skill and a practice. Leaders need to be prepared to lead and navigate change effectively.
