Professional Support & Community Integration
Since 2009, BRIDGE’s Women to Women (W2W) program has provided support for women leaders in and throughout the community. We create new opportunities for professional advancement for leaders across all sectors, and match immigrant women or women otherwise in a transition with resources.
The program helps to place women on the journey to the next phase of their professional development through one-on-one mentoring and by connecting young women with new mentors who help them define their academic and/or professional path and fully embrace their voice. We also connect women to workplace environments intentionally focused in their strategic priorities to advance the integration of underrepresented populations in the workplace, e.g. people of color, gender non-conforming and women
At times we host and incubate women's projects that align with BRIDGE's mission until they are stand-alone projects like Global Academic Link and Manos Artesanas. Often we host young women as interns and service learners in collaboration with institutions like Miss Hall's School and Berkshire County Commission on the Status of Women and several New England-based colleges and universities. Currently we are hosting an Abundance & Equity Cohort pilot for Berkshire Women Leaders and the Mindfulness and Movement course for young adult women living with autism and other disabilities and their teams, caregivers and peers.
