Dear BRIDGE family: As many of you have heard, I was unanimously chosen as the 2019 Woman of Achievement by Berkshire Business and Professional Women. Our Berkshire chapter has held this tradition for decades and I am honored to be selected for my professional achievements here in the Berkshires and beyond. I can only imagine that the BBPW choice to choose me as this year’s BBPW WOA honoree is not only about me and my work but also representative of their effort to echo the BBPW support of the mission and work of BRIDGE over the last decade; the leadership of women in public policy, philanthropy and business; and also the acknowledgment of labor & contributions of the many African American women that have worked tirelessly in the Berkshires for the betterment of our community. I am most humbled by this gift of acknowledgment and the honor to be lifted up in this way. It has been an honor I instantly want to share with others who have inspired me, worked alongside me, carried me when the burden was heavy, and those that are working just as hard as I on their own journeys towards a better and brighter future for all. I hope you join me in this celebration. I promise it will be a joyful community celebration! Find tickets here and please note that dinner tickets must be purchased by April 9th! Sponsor this unique program! All proceeds from the dinner benefit the Berkshire BPW scholarship program, which supports Berkshire County women who are furthering their education while working and/or managing a family. Berkshire Business and Professional Women gives a minimum of five scholarships each year to local women striving to higher education. Learn more about BBPW here. Contact Gillette Conner at [email protected] with questions about either sponsorships or program ads by April 24th. Thank you so much for however you can contribute! In addition to program ads, tributes in video, photos and in person will be there and the evening will be MC’d by the very one and only Samuel VanSant. See you there! Warm regards, Gwendolyn P.S.
