We’re excited to invite you to the BRIDGE Solstice Dinner & Annual Meeting Presentation at the BRIDGE Solidarity Meeting House. Join us to a special evening of reflection, culture, and community connection. Together, we’ll share highlights from the year 2025, enjoy a culturally rooted community meal, and experience an unforgettable storytelling performance of Tales of The Boatwoman by Amber Chand.
Amber Chand, gifted storyteller and writer will take you to an evocative journey into the world of her ancestors in India and Africa through stories that will both mesmerize and delight you.
Discover why a passionate elopement turned into an unhappy betrayal; why a black and white photograph would change the destiny of a family and how an ancient Vedic mantra accompanied a young woman on her voyage across the seas.
During her 75-minute performance, Amber will read excerpts from her forthcoming book, Tales of the Boatwoman, a book of ancestral stories, creative memoir and wisdom teachings, bringing spellbinding theatrics and skillful narrative to her performance.
Amber offers these intimate storytelling events as a way not only to entertain audiences but to give back to the community. Through her Stories That Give Back Initiative, partial proceeds from each performance will be donated to a local non-profit in the community.
We hope you’ll join us for this evening of celebration, storytelling, and shared gratitude.
