African American Leadership Caucus

The African American Leadership Caucus of the Berkshires has been conceived by organizers, Gwendolyn Hampton VanSant and Luci Leonard, representing their multiple community affiliations through the auspices of Multicultural BRIDGE. Leaders from across the New England region have been hired to come and facilitate a momentous caucus--a meeting of the minds-- where the leaders of Berkshire County of African American heritage and identity come together towards the health and success of our African American communities and residents. The focus is a reduction (towards elimination of) in racialized disparities in health, workforce and education. The essential questions are what is the Berkshire experience in those sectors, what is the supporting data, and how can we come together to further empower and support the greater communities in our individual and collective leadership as African American leaders. This event is sponsored by the Greylock Federal Credit Union.
